Adventures with a processor that is from the 70s. Just like me.
Since Xosera is basically working, I wanted to see what I could achieve with it. Thomas Jager did a very nice job implementing the well known bouncing ball demo for the rosco_m68k project.
The Ben Eater 6502 kit comes with a two line LCD character display. This is very nice for doing some experiments. But I always thought how cool it would be to do output to a real screen.
As much as I like the Ben Eater breadboard approach, I think I am too clumsy to make these setups work reliably. They always start failing after some time, especially when I want to try some new ideas.
The zeromips.org website is made with the Hugo static site generator. To automate deploying the site to the webserver I have set up a CI/CD workflow on github.com. This is actually pretty easy.
